Welcome to the Kodály Society of Manitoba!

Music multiplies all that is beautiful and of value in life.

The Manitoba Kodály Society gratefully acknowledges that our activities take place on traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene people and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. In the spirit of reconciliation, we offer our gratitude and respect to the original inhabitants of this land and to all Indigenous Peoples who call Manitoba home.

The Manitoba Kodály Society is committed to generating, revitalizing, and maintaining interest in the Kodály principles of music education in Manitoba. We aim to connect Manitoban music educators to the work of Zoltan Kodály through professional development opportunities.

We support our colleagues in the strong music education groups in Manitoba: Manitoba Orff Chapter; Manitoba Band Association, Manitoba Choral Association, Manitoba Classroom Guitar Association, and the Manitoba Music Educators’ Association, and look forward to a positive working relationship.

The MKS is thrilled to be a branch of the Kodály Society of Canada and seeks to uphold the vision of our national society.
