Classroom Music Resources and Teaching Strategies!
Join members of the KSO board as they share favourites from their music classrooms, including greeting songs, melodic and rhythmic practice activities, singing games, creative activities and storybooks as songs. A variety of lesson plan templates will be shared, as well as assessment and evaluation strategies.
You must be a KSO member to attend! Please sign up for membership if you are not a current member.

Join us in a workshop as an introduction or refresher to the wonderful world of Kodaly-inspired music education. In this workshop you will learn meaningful ways to include Kodaly-inspired teaching in your music classroom. These methods will lighten your planning load and create opportunities for authentic musical learning and joy for your students.
Members of the Alberta Kodály Association board will also use in their us classes timing lactih as thies you can put into practice Monday morning. This workshop is for educators who are brand new to the world of Kodaly and experienced pedagogues alike.

A Kodály-inspired approach to teaching music to students with disabilities and neurodiversities
In this 2-hour session, Susan Farrell will discuss some goals, tools, repertoire, and ways to celebrate our young musicians with disabilities and
neurodiversities in the classroom. We'll discuss some common challenges in teaching these populations, as well as talking about how language and representation matter.
